Date: July 6th
Time: 4pm

The Willow Tree is proud to present outdoor theatre in the enchanting Willow garden.

Mat Jones’s sparkling one-man performance of Kenneth Grahame’s classic The Wind in the Willows. Join us in the garden beneath the boughs of our Willow for Summer sunshine, seasonal refreshments, and the quintessential tale from the riverbank. Mat’s sensational single-handed storytelling makes the original 1908 text leap from the book to the stage, bringing to life the timeless characters of Mole, Ratty and Badger as they follow the irrepressible Toad on his hapless misadventures. Indulge in the tale afresh, straight from the author’s own words, as you’ve never heard it before!

Suitable for kids and big kids alike, Mat’s performances regularly rekindle fondness for the tale in those that grew up with it, as well as inspiring new viewers with its nonsense.

‘Willow Street’ food & bar will be open for garden service. Please do not bring food & drink on to the premises (other than baby food for example).

Please be aware that the show is not weather dependant and the show will go ahead if there is rain so please come prepared.  You are welcome to bring your own chairs or blankets to situate in allocated garden areas.

Arrival from 3pm onwards unless coming earlier for food and drinks – The Willow Tree is serving from mid day. Bookings welcome via our website.
